best season

A contemplative hike on historic paths.

The start is at the Burgberg Center. With the Burgberg cable car (alternatively: ascent via Herzogweg) you go up to the Großer Burgberg. Once at the top, the path leads across the Burgberg plateau with the Canossa column and the ruins of Harzburg to Antoniusplatz. There the contemplative path on the Sachsenberg begins. At the entrance of the circular path, the statue of "Saint Antonius" welcomes the hikers; seven further stations can be experienced on the approx. 1.6 km long contemplative path. The return journey is either again by the Burgberg cable car or alternatively on foot via the Herzogweg.
