How did mining change the landscape around Goslar? You can find out on this circular walk.

The circular walk is 6 km long and connects the Historic Town of Goslar and the former ore mine at the Rammelsberg. These were the first parts of the UNESCO World Heritage in the Harz.

The landscape looks natural. But it has changed a lot during several thousand years of mining.

The Rammelsberg Mine closed in 1988. Nature has reclaimed many parts of the landscape.

This walk goes through a landscape that has been created by people. Nevertheless, it is a walk through magnificent nature.

The highpoint of the walk is the Rammelsberg Museum & Visitor Mine and the Herzberger Teich, a lovely forest lake with a fantastic natural swimming area.
