With a length of 550 meters and a difference in altitude of 130 meters, the summer toboggan run on Matthias Schmidt Mountain offers a special experience for the whole family, young and old.
You can reach the starting point of the toboggan run - which is also the starting point for charming hikes in the Harz Mountains - comfortably with one of our modern double chairlifts, or you can choose the 20-minute walk across our grounds.
In special toboggans you will then go down the mountain in a swinging way. Thanks to simple operation - a lever allows you to brake and accelerate - you can adjust the speed to your liking.

The toboggan run is also ideal for small children, as they can toboggan together with an adult in a toboggan.

Our mountain inn Matthiasbaude invites you to visit with local and hearty cuisine and allows you to enjoy a magnificent view over the Harz mountains. The inn is located right next to the top station of the chairlift and in the immediate vicinity of the start of the summer toboggan run.
Here at the Matthias Schmidt Mountain, everyone interested in biking will find a wide range of trails with various degrees of difficulty: From easy single trails and freeride routes for beginners and novices to the technically interesting North Shore courses and the challenging downhill passages for experienced riders and professionals.
Bike and rider get quickly and comfortably "back to the top" with one of our chairlifts.
