Walpurgis in Braunlage, Hohegeiß and Sankt Andreasberg

Traditionally, the northern and central European festival of Walpurgis is celebrated in the Harz Mountains every year in the night from 30 April to 1 May.

According to legend, on Walpurgis night the witches gather at the witches' dance ground to fly together on their brooms and other flying machines to their so-called Blocksberg (Brocken) to dance around the fire, celebrate and marry the devil. This is the only way they can gain the ability to perform magic.

Celebrate with us in the witches' cauldron and experience how witches and devils get up to mischief.

Walpurgis 2022 will take place. More information soon here.
