Braunlager local history and FIS ski museum with winter sports exhibition
The history of the village is a special one due to its altitude. You
will learn why the railway ran on a narrow track, why reddish-brown cows
were called "ladies' chapel", why head forester Arthur Ulrichs founded the first German
ski club and marvel at one of the oldest skis.
